About this event

This is a drop-in, meditation sitting group for those interested in mindfulness and dharma practice. It takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 7pm and is led by Mick Malotte and friends.

Eight Weeks of Metta

A New Class Series

Wednesdays 6-7pm, October 30 - December 18

Led by Mick Malotte with Nisa King and Alice Reinheimer

Join us for a Heartwarming Metta Practice Class

Metta, the Pali word for kindheartedness, taps our natural ability to care and connect with others. In this class, we’ll nurture that spark, turning it into a steady source of well-being and joy, while deepening our meditation practice.

With the holiday season just around the corner, now is the perfect time to grow these skills. They can make a real difference as we share time with friends and family, helping us meet both the joys and the inevitable challenges of the season with more ease and compassion. We’ll explore simple techniques for cultivating kindness, so we can navigate the ups and downs of the holidays feeling more peaceful and at home in ourselves.

Give yourself the gift of kindness this holiday season.

Dharma practice helps us live a wiser, kinder and less stressed life. It leads to peace, stability and contentment right in the middle of the ups and downs of daily life.

A typical session includes presentation of a topic, a 20 minute meditation period (sometimes guided sometimes quiet) and then discussion.

This group is suitable for both new practitioners and those with lots of experience. Everyone is welcome.

This is a completely open drop-in group with no expectation of regular attendance. Some attend regularly and others only occasionally.

Please find the WHS Covid protocol here.
