Geshe Lobzang Tetsen
The Four Immeasurables & Lovingkindness

Geshe Lobsang Tsetan
Geshe Lobsang Tsetan was Born in May 1966 in India.  From the age of 7 he studied the Tibetan language until he attended the Dharma Institute of the famous Drepung monastery from which he  graduated.

In 1988 Geshe received the vows of a monk in the presence of the Dalai Lama. In 1994 he passed additional exams with excellence and continued his studies of Buddhist teachings while also teaching and instructing students.

In 2000 he received the equivalent of a PHD giving  him the  title Geshe. But he did not stop there, he has continued his studies and for 40 years has been a constant student of the Dalai Lama. He travels extensively to teach the Dharma and raises funds for various projects including founding the Deep Roots Himalayan Foundation which created the girls school in Zanskar. Anet Carlin has spoken to WHS in the past about the school and she and other local residents continue to raise funds to support the school.
