Ferri Fathi Erickson has been a long-time practitioner in different traditions. She has practiced in the Plum Village community of Engaged Buddhism in Colorado since 2015.Ferri was a sangha member and facilitator with Peaceful Heart Sangha in Fort Collins, CO, before returning to California in 2022.
Ferri finds teachings of the Buddha in all Buddhist traditions transformative and is particularly drawn to the teachings of Zen Master Thich Hanh (Thay) and the Plum Village tradition. She is an aspirant (preparing to receive ordination) for the Order of Interbeing with the Plum Village Community of engaged Buddhism.
Ferri is inspired to share the teachings and wisdom of Thay with anyone who is interested in living a more mindful life, and to offer a space where participants can have longer sitting meditation practices, feel welcomed and safe to share their joys and challenges of living mindfully, and learn from each other’s experiences.
Ferri is married and has one adult son.
Before retirement Ferri had a long career in hospital and healthcare services administration and she has a Master's degree in Health Services Administration.
